When you’re exploring things to do in Miami, visiting local breweries is a great way to get a taste of the vibrant culture (and not to mention some awesome beers!). There’s nothing more satisfying than enjoying an ice-cold craft beer on a hot South Florida day.
Luckily, breweries are sprouting up throughout the Miami neighborhoods. Great live music, tantalizing local cuisine, social events, and creative, fun atmospheres make these breweries stand out. Let’s take an inside look at some of the best breweries in Miami, so you’ll know where to go.
Craft Breweries in Miami: An Inside Look at 15 of Our Favorites
Wynwood Brewing Co.
Where to find it: 565 NW 24th St., Miami, FL 33127
Review: Great staff, laid-back

If you couldn’t guess it, Wynwood Brewing Co. settles in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District. Wynwood Brewing Company was the first craft brewery in the area, founded by Luis Brigoni and his father, who transferred their Puerto-Rican pride into beer.
They have award-winning beers Pop’s Porter and La Rubia (blonde ale). If that’s not enough, they own bragging rights as the official craft beer of the Miami Heat!

If you’re looking for some fun, Wynwood Brewing has board games on the tables and has Motivational Mondays as a recurring event. It’s a laid-back place in the busy neighborhood, along with outdoor seating and food trucks if you want extra space.
Dogfish Head Miami
Where to find it: 325 NW 24th St, Miami, FL 33127
Review: Friendly servers, fun atmosphere, flavorful flights of beers
Dogfish Head Miami opened its doors when Concrete Beach Brewery closed its social hall. This vibrant and creative brewery has a cult following in Delaware (and you can join their Off-Centered Society, a rewards program that’s kind of like a secret society!). With brightly colored wall murals and great music, you’ll love the atmosphere here.
Dogfish is known for its innovative and flavorful brews, and favorites include the Tropi-Lo-Cal (with pineapple puree, ginger, and cinnamon) and Mas Hops (wonderfully aromatic with an intensely bitter flavor). They serve a delicious menu of creative cuisine… I loved the Rock Shrimp Ceviche!
Veza Sur Brewing Company
Where to find it: 55 NW 25th St., Miami, FL 33127
Review: Great happy hour, unique menu choices

Located north of Downtown Miami, Veza Sur Brewing Co. stays true to its Latin-American roots, right in the creative Wynwood neighborhood. Veza Sur doesn’t disappoint with creativity either. Recently, they dropped a coffee porter slushy with Twix bars on top. They aren’t afraid to try anything from sours and gator ales to lime lagers.

Veza Sur is all about being authentic and creating just a good vibe. If you want to experience a Miami local food gem, they teamed up with Chi Fa, a delightful Chino Peruvian food truck. Overall, Veza Sur is one of the best Miami breweries loaded with flavorful culture.
J. Wakefield Brewing
Where to find it: 120 NW 24th St., Miami, FL 33127
Review: Fast and friendly service, great sours, quirky and cool

Also located in Wynwood, J. Wakefield is an independently owned brewery and taproom established in 2015. They take pride in making beers outside the norm, like a coconut-infused Hefeweizen. The taproom is decorated with massive murals of Star Wars characters curated by local artists.
J. Wakefield knocks sour beers out of the park, so be on the lookout for Plime Minister or Tangerine Whipsicle on tap when you visit. However, they have 15 taps loaded with a variety of beer types.
The Tank Brewing Co.
Where to find it: 5100 NW 72nd Avenue, Bay A1, Miami, FL 33166
Review: Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, ambient, delicious burgers

This is one of our absolute favorite Miami bars. Bold and unpretentious is how The Tank Brewing Co. describes itself. Tank Brewing Co. is a trippy little spot nestled among Miami’s tile and marble district.

The taproom is a converted warehouse located not too far from the Miami airport. You can expect an entertaining space with a traditional feel, unfinished concrete floors, and limited outdoor space.
They have a deep selection of brews to choose from including the Lo-Ca, Miami’s original low calories craft beer plus tons of signature events:
- Daily happy hour from 4-7 pm
- Select weeknight lady’s night drink specials
- Weekend bottomless specials on core beers
- Guest speakers, frequent tastings, and even festivals

Review: A hidden gem, awesomely paired with a baseball game
Deep in stories and rich in history, NightLife Brewing captures Miami’s world-famous action inside their taproom. Nightlife also doesn’t fall short of their motto, “Producing amazing brews worthy of the magic city.” Some flagship beers include Spitfire Redhead (Rye Saison) and Daring Brunette (brown ale).
NightLife settles in a 1,500 square foot taproom located outside Marlins Park in Little Havana. What’s better than a fresh beer right at the ballpark? They also have recurring events such as Ladies Night and Flip Night for fun.
Tripping Animals Brewing Co.
Where to find it: 2685 NW 105th Ave, Doral, FL 33172
Review: Fine hazy IPA’s, strong sense of community, dog-friendly

The crew at Tripping Animals Brewing Co. started in a garage back in Venezuela. Finally, in 2018, they set up shop in Doral where they promote the community with craft beer culture.
Inside, you’ll find a family-friendly environment with board games, ping pong, and a pool table. Pets are also welcome on the large outdoor back patio.

Tripping Animals has some awesome BBQ choices like fine brisket, and they put their twist on dessert. They make curated beer ice cream inspired by their fruity sour beers. Expect some robust stouts, and hazy style IPA’s. If you’re a fan of sour beers, this is the spot for you.

Before stopping by Lincoln’s Beard Brewing, check their site for any themed events going on. They did an emo-themed karaoke night recently.
It’s a cool spot for a date night in Miami. There’s a wide selection of beer types, including hoppy, malty, Belgian, and lights. Don’t forget about a solid rotation of guest taps and new inventions. Man Purse is a newer release, a hoppy west coast IPA. You can find this brewery in the heart of Miami.

Unseen Creatures Brewing & Blending
Where to find it: 4178 SW 74th Ct, Miami, FL 33155
Review: Nice ambiance, plenty of seating

Unseen Creatures Brewing has the motto: “Push limits all while focusing on balance and drinkability”. These farmhouse-inspired wild ales found their place right in the heart of the Bird Road Art District in Miami. The name “Unseen Creatures” is inspired by the yeast and bacteria in beer.

Enjoy a drink on the patio for happy hour (usually 4 pm) or stop by the food truck. There is plenty of seating for everybody, but if you stop inside, you can’t miss the large painting of the owl on the wall.
Spanish Marie Brewery
Where to find it: 14251 SW 120th St., Miami, FL 33186
Review: Fresh pizza, fantastic happy hour
Pizza and beer lovers, your next Miami chill spot is right here! Spanish Marie Brewery is a hidden food gem with $5 happy hour pizza deals.
There are creative beer choices like the Corazon de Melon, cotton candy sours, and a strawberry limeade flavored drink as well. Inside is a charming atmosphere with high ceilings and charismatic staff. If you are ever in the West Kendall area, Spanish Marie is worth checking out.
Miami Brewing Company
Where to find it: 30205 SW 217th Ave, Homestead, FL 33030
Review: Great service, fun karaoke, family-friendly

You’ll have to trek to Homestead for this brewery, but Miami Brewing Co. has something going on every day of the week. The weekends are loaded with food trucks, country night line dancing, and karaoke time. Throughout the weekdays, Miami Brewing Co. offers Pool Hall Wednesday and Ladies Night on Thursday!

It’s also easy on your wallet, with $4 beers during happy hour. Not so bad when you consider that 4-packs of IPA’s could go upwards of $20 if you buy them at a store. They have a great variety of local fruit-flavored beers, including brown ales, mango wheat ale, and coconut blonde ale.
